horizontal beam has a 25 degree spread and a 6.7 degree vertical beam
spread.
The spot beam, part number 900XSHIDS boasts
873,000 candle power with 3000 feet of visible
range. It has a 6.5 degree horizontal beam with a 5.5 degree

Wiring/Installation:
(Wiring Loom Sold Separately)
Two choices of wiring looms are available for
installation of the 900XSHID Series lights. There is a traditional
loom, part number
IPFWF-3, which requires that the
wires be fed through the firewall or there is a wireless option, part
number WF-1 (ask for details), which uses a relay to communicate to a dash mounted
switch via radio waves. Each loom is designed to support two lamps.
So, how do HID systems work anyway?
HID systems produce a
brilliant white light by establishing a high-voltage (30,000 volts)
electrical arc between two electrodes within a sealed glass tube. Once
the arc is established, the system's ballast lowers the voltage to
normal operating conditions. Because there is no filament to break or
disintegrate, the service life of an HID bulb is approximately 3,000
hours, as opposed to a standard halogen bulb's lifespan of less than
400 hours. The light produced by HID is of a much higher "color
temperature" that closely resembles sunlight, thus reducing strain and
stress on the driver's eyes. Despite the massive amount of light
produced from the 900XS HID, the 35W bulbs will not strain your
vehicle's charging system.
